CHARACTER INFO
Name: Jack Dalliard.
Fandom: A Bit of Fry and Laurie.
Age: Unknown. Assume around 38.
Gender: Male.
Sexuality: Bisexual, but he prefers males most of the time.
Appearance: Jack is a tall fellow. He has black hair, brown eyes, and tends to wear suits. He slicks his hair back often, is well-groomed, and looks somewhat scary. (It's his personality that adds to this effect.) I do have pictures, if anyone wants to see him.
Personality: Jack is dignified, calm, and manipulative. If he wants something, he'll get it. By hook or by crook, he'll get information, items and allies, and then he'll show his true colors and destroy those who helped him. (Not always physically. He'll destroy their social standing, for instance.) He's ruthless, and desperately hiding a deep-seated paranoia and insecurity. He wants to be safe, so he does his best to take over a country's government and rule it with an iron fist, for example. Jack can and will be polite to those he meets, but once he's more confident of his position, he'll reveal more of his true self.
Oh, and he can be violent. Just...always a calculated violence. He's intelligent, not stupid.
ROLEPLAY
How Your Character Got to Malaise House (keep in mind Malaise is an AU): Jack happens to be an English Criminal Mastermind. He leads a mafia-style organization called the Cause, and is trying to take over England's government. Well, for this he gets captured by the law agencies, and during his trial a relative he didn't know he had discovers that they're related. This winds up with this relative (who happens to be placed highly in certain governmental agencies) arranging for Jack to be sent to an American institute. Jack agrees to this, as he would like to avoid jail. The authorities agree, as they want this case to be over with - it's a sensitive topic, and I can provide background as to why they want him to be hushed up. Either way, he winds up at the Malaise House.
Symptoms Your Character Experiences (If Any): He's already proven to be paranoid and dangerous. His reasoning for taking over the government was to protect England. (and himself) He doesn't hear voices or see things, though.
Example Journal Entry: I am displeased with the state of affairs. This institution does not employ a tailor, and they do not carry the brand of cigarettes I am fond of.
There are more serious matters, but I would prefer that I retain the small comforts of home. Once I have those, then I may turn my mind to the more important matters, such as leaving.
I also need to put in research - I was told a relative intervened for me, but that was all. Who was this relative? And why did they place me here, of all places?
Example Post: "Jack, there are things to do if you're bored," Cole said from the doorway of Jack's office. He was holding a sheaf of papers, and looked amused.
Jack chuckled softly, and straightened in his chair. "I know. There are quite a few things I can do - the difficulty lies in choosing which activity suits the moment."
"Of course." Cole smiled and came to Jack's desk, setting the sheaf of papers down. "Here are the files you requested, as well as travel options."
"Excellent. I'll have someone bring these down when I'm done with them."
"Then I'll return to my work, sir."
Jack nodded, collecting the papers, already refocusing his mind on more important matters.
He needed to visit Europe soon - the situation there was already heating up, and if he didn't make connections there, he would lose the chance to have a controlling hand in the powers that held Europe.
